Don;t be scared! I taught middle school music for 19 years, and have now taught elementary (K-6) music for 3 years. You'll get used to them! I had 5 homerooms of second grade this year, each with a slightly different set of needs. You can surely tune into one group. Remember their needs, watch those standards and objectives, pace your lessons so that they can catch on. Experience will be your ultimate teacher! Good luck and have a good summer!
