aspergers
By Dolly

Clip to ScrapBook
Scroll down a bit and check out the message from June 18th from "4th grade teacher". PJM responded with some great sites. With autism there are different ranges of abilities/disabilities. Those with aspergers are often referred to as "high functioning" autistic, but each child is unique unto himself. I had an autistic child in my ECE classroom for 2 years. He was very high maintenance, needing lots of sensory breaks and redirection. If he did not have a 1:1 aide the second year, I never would have made it through. Good Luck!
