what I'm doing By cdk

My state is divided into counties and within those counties are schools districts that cover a specific area. I'm sure it's similar everywhere. Some of the counties have "consortiums" or "networks" where the districts have| a united web site that lists the openings for that county. You fill out one on-line job application and indicate to which schools you want it forwarded in response to which jobs. Out here, all the districts are going on-line and aren't even accepting paper resumes unless they have something already on-line from you! If you don't know if such things exist in NYC, call the districts | | (or schools) that you would be interesting in talking to and simply ask them how to apply. Not all openings are going to be listed on-line or in the papers. Some teacher contracts specifically state that adminstration must try to fill openings from within before posting them for public. I currently have my application registered in 5 counties. I have a list of the school districts within those counties I'd be willing to teach at (some are just too far to travel to). I have the web sites for these districts or consortiums flagged, so on a regular basis, I go in & check out their latest postings. Depending on what their procedures are, I apply for anything I'm eligible for. It may be a simple mouse click or a letter of interest. Do you have the ability to go through a college placement service? That's another option! Good Luck!
