Books in the classroom

I am also planning on re-doing the books in my classroom
this Fall. I have been thinking of having leveled baskets/boxes and also theme/topic/monthly baskets/boxes as many have mentioned. The students can have access to these for reading time. The dot stickers makes the most sense to me so far. I also think that due to limited space I'll rotate most books in and out of curculation every month or two. I also hope that the school will
spend some money to replenish the classroom books that I do have as these are limited.

I have a lot of books that I bought myself but most of these will be used as read aloud books. I'll do up a special basket of my books to be used at stations time (centre time) but these will be limited as they belong to me.

The children will also have school library access too. However these might go home, however this past year we were asked to not send these home becasue so many were lost or damaged... Sad but true. I'm thinking that I'd let them take a book home but once it was not returned then they would not be allowed to borrow again until it was returned for replaced.
