homework

I teach third grade. I assign homework for math, spelling and an occasional project for SS and Sci. The routine homework for math practice and spelling I do not grade. I correct it and hand it back. I feel if they do their homework then it will reflect on the tests and quizzes. I do not tell the parents or students that. I do keep track of who does the work and who does not by a check list. Mostly everyone does the work. If the work is late then it may refect on their test or quiz score. I do grade the projects in SS or Science and record them since they are out of the norm.
