I graduated from college in South Carolina four years ago, and get this - I never even APPLIED for a job. They called ME! (kinda eerie how they got my info huh?) Now, I am moving to North Carolina and finding a job has been a BREEZE (getting the certification was the hard part!). I applied to seven school districts because I was worried about all the budget cutting issues. I accepted a position in early June and I am STILL getting phone calls from principals to interview. About one per day. The lack of teaching positions has got to be a local thing. If relocating is even a remote possibility, you just might want to consider it.
