I got a bulletin board set a couple of years ago that is still available from many school supply stores. It is made by Carson DeLarosa. I ordered it without realizing how valuable it would be! It is large (7'x2') Showing 6 "multicultural" kids with the motivational message,"Be the best you can be." I kept it up all year. The kids delighted in finding words they were learning. Kids read it over and over. The item number is CD-3209. I also enjoy rummage-saling and have found great things for very little. Unused or seldom-used educational games, like Alphabet Scrabble or NeverEnding Story,or a Sesame Street track made up of alphabet letter shaped track sections with a little battery powered car that can go on the track, clean stuffed animals in good condition
( kids are excited about reading things over to a stuffed friend even when they may be bored re-reading for the practice). It is not just money saving it is also the "joy of the hunt."
