read alouds

I have been teaching second grade for several years and have found that read alouds help my students with their writing. I read two - three books out loud each day. They look forward to listening to the stories. My classroom library includes books by Patricia Polacco, Clifford Books, AR books, nonfiction books, rhyming books, poetry, fractured fairy tales, ect. They love all books especially when they get to make predictions. Have a great school year!
