    Teaching without a certifacate...

    I don't know what your religious perference is but have you thought abour applying to a Catholic or private school vs. public? I graduated in 2001,
    but because there was a position that opened up in 2nd grade (at the time I taught pre-school)
    the principal gave it to me. Some of the religious schools will hire a teacher on the condition that he/she is in a certified program and working towards getting an education degree.
    It is better than having nothing at all.Just a thought...it worked for me...I gained a lot of expereince in that first year.
