Clip to ScrapBook
My students use one black marbled journal for their journaling (which was several mornings a week). That normally lasts all year, but some had to get a second one around spring (depending on how big they wrote). They also
had one red pocketed/brad folder that went home every day - this had the class/school rules in the brad section in the middle (so they always had it to refer to). They used the pockets to carry home graded papers on Friday and any other office memos every day. I'm self-contained, but mine still have binders with dividers to separate subjects. They also used one section for the "eye-opener"
activity in the morning (math sheet, handwriting, etc...). I hole-punched everything so they could keep it neatly in that section. Each 9 weeks (after exams), they'd clean out their binders and start fresh. I don't like spirals - too messy. They kept lined paper in their binder at all times. Hope that gives you a starting place!
