I went into teaching from being a pre-school teacher for 16 yrs because of the money. I dont know where you re, but here in Canada - I seldom worked in child care for more then 9 bucks an hour. I was a certified Early Childhood Educator - and still had problems finding decent paying work unless you can get in with some of the big city unionized child cares. I am teaching in Northern Alberta and loving it. I wish you the best of luck in finding either a teaching job or a decent paying child care job. I miss my little ones - but I will be a K teacher this year - not bad. Take care
