Social Studies
By Bridget

Clip to ScrapBook
Yes, Michele, I would be glad to clarify. We don't have social studies books or if we do they are in some closet somewhere and no one is allowed to use them. They have 1960 copyrights or something so the school scrapped our social studies books.
Therefore, we are responsible for finding our own topics, curriculum, worksheets, activities, etc. Most of the other teachers are using themes such as MLK, Jr. in Jan. and things like that but coming from 6th grade where we had VERY detailed books I am at a loss. Hope this helps explain myself!! I am looking for theme unit ideas to replace social studies I suppose you could say.
