Clip to ScrapBook
Joan gave great advice! I did the scavenger hunt myself, and it went over well - and took some of the pressure off me - plus the kids got to show their parents around their room without feeling like they were forgetting
something.

The paper about yourself is wonderful - especially if you're afraid you'll get nervous with all the eyes on you - they'll be following along on the paper and they'll be glad to have something concrete.

Again - SMILE a lot - so they know you're approachable and will take care of their child all day. Explain that you're always open for phone calls at school during your

conference time (put that on your paper). Give them a chance to ask questions and they'll love that - they'll get anything else answered that they want to know.

Welcome to the wonderful world of teaching - I hope you have a great year!!!!!!
