In most education programs usually student-teaching is done during the latter part of your educational training. So often it is in years 3 and 4 that student teaching takes place.Sometimes you can put in a request for a school and that's something you might want to check out. However there is also something to be said for going into a school and area you do not know just to see how things are done in different schools.
