I have been teaching 2nd grade for 16 years and each year it seems like I have to approach centers in a different way. I can't stand the noise and the extra movement when I'm working with a small group. The type of children I teach are so easily distracted too. I have found that having centers on Fridays only works pretty well. Who knows what will work this year. I'll just have to get to know my kids and take it from there.
