When I taught 6th grade, I felt so sorry for those poor Kindergarten teachers...kids whining, snotty noses, grabbing on your skirt... Fast forward to the birth of my daughter...stayed home with her for a year, then decided I was ready to return to teaching. Lo and behold, my principal placed me in Kindergarten (the only position available)...and I LOOOOOOOVVVVE it!! I fell in love with the kids the moment I met them and have never looked back. I've taught K for 9 years now. I don't ever plan to switch again! By the way, I now feel sorry for 6th grade teachers!!! (but am so glad we all fit in different places of the education puzzle!)
