"follow your heart and dream"

The only advice I will give is to follow your own heart and dream. We as teachers are under paid and rarely thanked for the jobs we do. We get no respect for putting our hearts and soul into the job. I didn't become a teacher
to become rich or to be thanked for every little thing I do. I became a teacher because I love kids and working with the kids. I love to see their faces light up when they realize they have learned something new or can share what they already know. I love to see the excitement they share with others and with me. I learn new things each year from my new group of students. I love being

missed by my students when I am absent. I love getting little pictures they draw and notes they right. That is what teaching is all about. If you make a difference in just one childs heart or life then you have accomplished a lot for being a teacher.
