papers
By Michelle

Clip to ScrapBook
I send home a "grade sheet" every 2-3 weeks. On the sheet, I list each graded assignment by subject with a blank for the grade. When papers are returned to them, they have the responsibility of going through each paper and recording their grade. If they failed to turn in an assignment, they must record a 0-F.I then check the sheet and sign it and they take it home to be signed and returned. I usually send the papers with it, but if you prefer to keep them in your classroom, at least they would know how they are doing along the way and where their grades are coming from. I've done this for the last few years and have never had any surprised families at report card time.
Good luck!
