I'm excited about something my school is going to try this year. It's called Big Bucks. Basically, kids will get paid for doing their job. For example, (and these are right off the top of my head), they may get 50 bucks
for coming to school on time every day during a week, 100 bucks for turning in homework all week, 100 bucks for going all week without a refocus(Time to Teach). At the same time, they have to pay out money for many things... 20 bucks if they didn't put their name on their paper, 200 bucks if they forget their homework, etc. (They will have money bags and bank books. They have to keep
up with their bucks.) Every so often, there will be a fun activity , like a kickball tournament that they can buy if they have enough money. Auctions of toys that are donated by parents and businesses will also be an incentive for having lots of big bucks. A lot of thought and planning will go into this, but you can get the idea.
