Mavis
By Tina

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi. I've used Mavis Beacon with grades 4 and up, but on the web site it is listed under the ages 7-9 category too. Mavis Beacon (a female instructor), takes you through the menu so that it is easily understood. Then, off to the lessons. There are words that you have to type with see through hands at the bottom over a keyboard that helps you find the correct fingering. After so many lessons, students get to play a typing game. These were somewhat difficult, but they enjoyed them. You might check your local library to see if they have software you can borrow and try out.

Good luck.
