This is what I did!!!

NC Emily,
I got my resume, dressed up, and starting going around to different schools. It makes a total difference when you SELL YOURSELF in person.
Many times a sheet of paper is laid to the side and forgotten. Think of at least 3 or 4 schools you would REALLY like to teach at. Gear yourself up and start early in the morning or Friday. Most principlas are still at school now or I know mine sure is. They will ALL be gone within the next week or two.
I was told by my district that they WERE NOT hiring and to just send my resume in which I did.

had 2 elem. schools offer me a job. I convinced them that I would be an asset to their school and was a positive person that loved kids. They bought into it and here I am today. GO FOR IT!!!
