Open Court

I taught 1st grade Open Court for 4 years and enjoyed it very much. Advice: you will have to have the manual right there with you because of all the ph. awareness and blending activities. Also, get the take home books ready early. We had to tear these out of the workbook they come in and staple them together. One more thing: get used to using a puppet if you have not used one very much. It is used a lot in the first few lessons.
