Passports...

Make a folder for each student and have them keep a journal entry in for each area of the state you talk about. You can also include maps and special projects. I'm also going to use a special stamp with a big initial for my state to stamp their work. On the outside, put the student's pic and information that they fill out with the heading "Passport to ___ History!" Laminate and you have a great portfolio. Hope this helps!
