math TASP
By Rachel

Clip to ScrapBook
Marie,
Don't pick another career! You'll pass. I'm a sophomore in college and I think I've also taken the TASP about 4 or 5 times and still haven't passed. Passing for my college is a 230 and I got a 228!!! That just
made me so mad! You might also try some of those TASP study guides. I bought some at Borders and Barnes & Noble in the test guide and college section. I can relate to thinking of picking another career. But being an elementary teacher is what I have wanted to do since I was young and I was so close to passing I know eventually I will. I also have had a lot of trouble with math. I'm still
taking developmental math and my fear is not passing college algebra. You might also try getting a different tutor. If you go to the tutors at your college, well I hate to say it, but they aren't much help at least where I go. I have been having trouble even with my developmental math class, which is supposed to be basic. What I plan on doing for my math class and TASP is hiring a private tutor. A lot of retired teachers do private tutoring. Look in the newspaper for ads. That might help you more than tutors at a college.
