Enjoy your free time and try to relax because you will be very busy once school starts. How about some professional reading such as : The First Days of School by Harry Wong and Tools for Teaching by Fred Jones. Both books
deal with class management and may give you ideas for class expectation posters etc. you may want to work on.
Also, how about visiting garage sales and looking for books for your class library? Think about what read aloud books you may want to use and preread those you haven't read yet. Does your school have a teachers center open where you can go to cut out bulletin board letters etc.
How about research websites for children to see what you would like your students to do on the computer. That can be very time consuming but useful. I don't know what grade level you are, but maybe some of these things will keep you busy. When in doubt, call a friend and go out to lunch! You can't do that when school starts!
