I think that it is a great idea to become a teacher. I am becoming one myself. I hope that you do not think of it as a thankless position because it is one that you will be appreciated for without actually always knowing it. I bet you can remember other teachers that have made your educational learning experience one of the best, and others made it the worst. Being a teacher is like being a surrogate parent, caring, showing, and talking to the students as individuals.
