Good for you Kelly! The Even Start program can be a wonderful opportunity for you as well as the children in your room! When do you start? I was a TA in an Even Start class in Tennessee for 4 weeks and saw the potential of the program if done properly and with the right heart! You will completely enjoy working with the young children and should have a TA? Please remember to treat her like a queen and she will appreciate that and work hard for you! I was in a situation where the teacher treated me horribly because she felt threatened by me which was crazy because there was no way that county would put a k-8 teacher in a pre-k. Anyhow, set up a desk or table with all the supplies she will need and maybe a few extras and enjoy the opportunity to work with a TA because not all teachers get that kind of help! If you need any help please ask! You are going to completely enjoy the class experience and may never want to leave it!
