Apples
By BeaJay

Clip to ScrapBook
I used apples for my theme a couple of years ago. I used the Christmas ornament apples [usually 12 in a box] to put their numbers on for roll call, choosing groups, ets. Your door could say 'Third Grade is SO Ap-PEEL-ing!' I used the Ap-PEEL-ing for each of my centers as well as 'Ap-PEEL-ing Behavior'. I had a tree with apple cut outs from red foam on it with their names. You could use it for your daily jobs or whatever. The little red baskets are sold at our farmer's market as well as a produce store. Some of the local stands will give you the baskets. We also dried apples that year. I think that Gail Gibbons wrote a book entitled Apples [am not sure since all that is at school]. Hope you can use some of this.
