one of the kids
By mm

Clip to ScrapBook
I completely understand. I'm 25 and in my third year of teaching and I'm now totally used to hearing, "Miss M. you look like one of the kids!" or "Wow...in the class picture I couldn't find the teacher." It doesn't help
that I'm short and look like a high school student! I didn't want the parents to know my first year and still don't advertise my age, but by spring it always seems to come out to at least a few parents, and generally they are very positive and impressed by the fact that a young person can have command over a class and do a great job. I don't tell the kids...I usually make up some crazy
answer and they get sick of asking. It's not your fault you're young and parents shouldn't see that as a negative...I think it's a positive! Don't worry too much about it!
