Oh my can I relate to this. I am 32 and and I am an elementary school consultant. I am younger than many of the teachers I mentor and do trainings for. I am at one school in particular, where every teacher is at least two decades older than I. They are more focused on how old I am than what I can offer them and how I can help their students. i would politely smile and answer, older than you think - and leave it at that. If they are that rude to keep up the question - ignore it. My guess is you're probably very very good teacher and others are amazed at your skill related to your age and experience.
