My teacher, my best friend, my mom, and my sister!
By MelanieMoney

Clip to ScrapBook
Its not along story, but I can make it longer, I just made it as short and to the point as possible, because it doesnt matter how much I write, just as long as I know it meant enough for me to want to write it, that I did
it.
Im 19, and next year will be finishing up highschool. I hate the thought of graduating, it scares me to even think about this summer.
My mom is prone and stuck in an addiction of drugs and bad guys which one she sticks with and I have to face daily. We've moved in and out of so many places Ive began to stay at my grandma's permananetly. I began my school 3 years ago, and met
a great person, a person that touched me! My teacher.
My teacher Andrea and I have became close in the past year, and she's showed me that I can become something If I put my mind to it, she's helped me look for a job, back away from things that I shouldnt get near, and helped me see her as a figure for a mother, but as she considers herself to me, "my big sister", she's helped me listen, and understand things and cares about me, instead of my mom who wont even say "I love you!" Andrea has though! She's taken time out of her day to bring me home, bring me to the mall, talk to me and take me to the store and out for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and out for ice cream, and even had time for herself, and her kids, whom she wants me to meet and babysit. Even telling me things that have effected her life, and cried on my shoulder as I have done to her. I am glad to have met her, because now, this summer I have her to look forward to. She will be having me go with her along to the mall, and many places. I am so happy to find such a teacher who will say "I love you", as my mom hasnt, and wont, and one who will hug me and smile when I walk in, buy me things for my birthday and holidays, and listen to me when I talk to her. I mean how many teachers out there do this to a student?!
I just wnated to share with you how I tried so hard to try to find a way to get around everything going on, and found myself a happy, safe place, and a feeling of happiness now that Im allowed to share and have. Im just glad to have Andrea, without her, I think my life wouldnt be nearly what it is today without her love and support!
