reading list

Clip to ScrapBook
That is really a tough assignment. There is really very little for that age group to read. Instead of a list of particular titles, I focus on giving the parents information on how important reading to their children is. I also give them a checklist of ways to promote literacy through the summer. If you really need titles, I would look in Fountas and Pinnell's book "Matching Books to Readers". They have age appropriate lists. Another idea would be to list books you read to them this school year and have them reread them over the summer.
