Clip to ScrapBook
Hi, I've been teaching a 1st/2nd multi-age class at a Christian inner city school for the past two years. The thing I found most difficult initially was managing reading because I had non-readers all the way to independent
readers, and with no aide it can be difficult to teach reading at so many different levels. I got permission from my school board to use the 4-Blocks method for teaching reading (and the other language arts subjects), and it seriously made all the difference this year. But you could also incorporate 4-Blocks activities into whatever reading curriculum your school uses. There are 4-Blocks
books (Cunningham)at teacher stores and if you put 4-Blocks into a search engine you should find lots of websites with information about the program too.
