I totally agree with your comment about Title I. Sometimes it gets frustrating when there seems to be money for EVERYTHING else, but when something is really needed, then the reply is "no money in the budget." Untold amounts
of money are spent on things that many teachers do not feel are priority items, yet there is no money to hire a sub when the music or PE teacher is gone, so we lose the break. We only have 2 breaks a week. This year, 6th grade only had one recess, at 12:15, and teachers had to cover it, then we went right to lunch, and all classroom teachers had lunch duty every day as well. So,
3 days a week, there was ZERO time away from the kids and no time for any of our work. You would think it could be budgeted to hire a lunchroom/recess supervisor or 2.

I also feel the frustration of leaving you dangling over the summer about decisions for the following school term. We sometimes don't hear much for certain until a week or two before the first day of school. It is crazy.

Either way, best of luck. Keep me posted. I am curious.

Gail
