starting centers

Don't be sorry about all the questions. That is what this is for!
Centers are a big undertaking. First you ave to get your management down. Then start by introducing one center at a time with the whole class and spend
a few days on it- where to get materials, how to move about the room, voice level, what to do when done, what to do with questions, how to clean up anything they might need to know. Practice it until they can do it from start to finish without you help or supervision. Then introduce the next center and do all of the above again. Tip: keep the centers as simple as possible. Then try by opening
one center at a time and see how it goes. When you think they have it down add another.
So it could take a couple of months to get started and get them all up and running!
