book protection
By Sue W

Clip to ScrapBook
Our elementary has purchased numerous paperback books for reading at each grade level as well as a lot of paperbacks for our library. All of these are sealed for protection before the kids touch them. There is a contact paper like material on a roll that is put on each book. It has a kind of dispenser that sits on a table. About an inch is wrapped around the edge of the front cover then all around the cover and sealed up to the back cover. Our teachers aids use spare minutes to get it done. I don't know how much it costs, but it may be available in bulk inexpensively. Check with the school librarian for a catalog source. Your didtrict might not have thought of this and may welcome the suggestion.
