Block Schedules

I've had a lot of those 90 minute Block Classes, and yes, the kids can get squirrly. Things I've done include having them all stand up and raise their left hand and wave good-by to (fill in the blank). Then their right hand, and (same thing). Then I give them a few minutes to move around the class room and talk to friends before returning to their desks. Sometimes when there is another Passing Period for other classes, I'll let them out for the 4 or 5 minutes of the passing. This is for Middle School.
