I always have a morning message up on the board. When the children come into class, they know exactly what to do. At the beginning I keep it simple, maybe about something that is going on in the day, or something that is| happening in the world. As the year progresses, it becomes harder and I expect more form them. They generally do math facts on the other side of the paper and a practice printing/writing paper before the day begins. Centers: I use litearcy centers in addition to regular teaching of reading and phonics. The centers are: -ABC ORDER -LISTENING CENTER -LOOKING UP DEFINITIONS -SCRAMBLED |
