zoo trip

I have taken my 3rd graders to the zoo for the last several years. It is a lot of fun for them. We always talked about the animals and their habitats before we went and as we were through the zoo kids would be talking and pointing out things they had learned! It was so cool to hear them and realize that they were actually paying attention in class! Anyway, my suggestion is to have them choose an animal while at the zoo that they want to do a report on. Maybe they could take pictures while there and then do the written/oral report when they return to class. Just an idea! Have fun!!!
