I'm with you

I'm with you Ally. The first reaction would be "what a nice thought" or maybe" goodness I don't know her that well". my second thought would be where the antisocial feelings creep in and I would dread the small talk etc.
I seem to be getting worse as I get older too.
We have had several weddings on the staff over the last few years and although I am friendly with everyone I would never have expected an invitation, neither would I have dreamt of inviting my principal to the wedding when I couldn't even have all of my friends. There's school and there's home and now and again they overlap, but I think

it is healthier and more refreshing to get away from everyone sometimes and have a change of faces and conversation.
Just now I'm off to have a change of conversation and talk to my husband.
