    I taught a unit for 2-3grades. I did many simulaiton activities - for blindness - we ate our lunch blindfolded, deaf - we could not use our voices and most kids wore earmuffs/hats that would muffle any sold - we had to communicate with only or hands, etc. I also used our community OTA specialist did a puppet show, a sign language teacher came and presented how to learn signing. I had a person in a wheel chair come in and talk about their obtacles etc. Then I had the students write about what they had learned - a chart would be good telling what they know - think and learned.
