Read well--did not have a good experience, but good luck
By Julie E

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi there,

I teach at a school where a few of the teachers use Read Well. I think it works "okay" for small groups if you supplement. I personally did not have success with it in my class, so I use something else. I think it could work with small groups to teach specific skills since each lesson is very directed.

It is my understanding that this curriculum is believed to be in the best interest for SPED students and lower readers. I would be very careful using it with these types of children. There is a ton of research that shows lower readers need more language integration. See Catherine Snow's research.

I do hope whatever you are using is working well for you.

Julie E.
