Visit to student's hme

This is one of the most bizzare things I have heard in my 25+ years of teaching. There is no way that a principal should be able to require you to visit a student's home. As has been mentioned in the previous posts, the proper place for a meeting is at the school with some other school professionals present. I would definitely make a note of this request, put any and all concerns on paper and if you choose to refuse to do the visit, as I hope you will, send a letter to your principal and any other authorities in your school system, expalianing your reasons.I am not a negative person, try to look at the positive side of everything, but to be honest, it looks to me like you are being "set up."
