disablity lesson

I have done this with third grade. My husband is legally blind, and I did this lesson about 1 year after his disability appeared. I started out by reading a book on Helen Keller. We read a long book, but you could do a short one. I contacted the local blind association, and they sent me braille cards. . Then, we took green peas (the ones that are half size) and they glued these down to construction paper to make their names. There are all kinds of disabilities, it just depends on what you are looking for.......
