measurements
By Melinda

Clip to ScrapBook
Start with an easy recipe such as chocolate chip cookies from scratch. Make the cookies with the class! Make sure the recipe uses different units to measure the ingredients. If not, convert them before you begin. I'm not sure what grade level you are working with, but I usually have my students then bring in a recipe from home and I show them how to double the recipe and cut it in half. Don't forget to explain how this can be used in "the real world". Hope this helps!
