Horrible, no good...

Clip to ScrapBook
"Alexander's" mom would know what to say to you. I can only pass on one piece of advice I got from a child psychiatrist. He and I both came to love this child, "Greg." Rejoicing in Greg's high moments, made the low moments even more painful. In a conversation at school one day, the Doctor gave me a piece of advice, that though I felt was painful at the moment, has served me well over the years.

"Unless you can take this child home with you, physically, i.e. change his life and his home life, don't take him home with you mentally, i.e. change your life and change your home life."

You need to take care of the teacher, so you can take care of the child.
