Hi! I would love to hear that you have taken a student teacher. I was blessed with a great mentor teacher who taught me a lot and gave me the responsibility of the classroom early into my program. She didn't give up total control of her classroom because I still went according to the discipline plan and all her individual class rules. She liked being in the classroom but realized that I needed to feel it was my classroom and she would step out for an hour or 2 a day. Then there would be times that she would sit in the back during one of my lessons and write down constructive criticism and praise. I learned so much. I hope you take in a student teacher and I hope you have great success!
