Interviews
By Tricia

Clip to ScrapBook
I have really felt I don't interview well! Looking back I appear too stiff and even look stiff so I am making myself over! I am an older gal who needs to lose more weight also. I have lost so much already, 100 lbs, but
they don't know that because I lost that weight before student teaching! Actually I had lost 135 lbs but have gained 40 back from all the stress but am back in training! I'm going to start going to the tanning bed at out gym tonight and work on a healthier coloring! I'm even growing my hair out and trying to be trendier and get away from the uptight hairspray look I had going! I didn't
look like that when I student taught!
I am going to get a new and slimmer portfolio together for interviews and put stuff in in that would help with questions they all tend to ask! Plus I have a website that I have been working on and I hope to get them to take a look at that! My son made me a special cd that contains my student teaching portfolio in case they want to look at it plus my websites with my electronic portfolio on it with all my info! Look at it and tell me what you think. The address is teacher2k.com and has been a project that has kept me sane! There is so much I still have to do! I like your idea of a mini portfolio! I think they expect new graduates to come with the big portfolios. An experienced teacher will come prepared with a mini portfolio with stuff that will answer specific questions! I do have a mini that has my philosophy of ed, resume, references, letters of rec., transcript, license, PRAXIS scores, and I'm going to add my proof of mmr's and am going to the health department for TB and general med form to add. Then I want to put samples of classroom management, etc... in a small binder in case they ask!
Let's all keep talking about interviews and the do's and do not's and I bet we will all be hired for the next year!!!
