Plants
By MJH

Clip to ScrapBook
Have the student plan out a flower/veggie garden. There are all kinds of math activities just in that one project. It covers measurement, area, patterning, operations, etc. Bean in a baggie: the students grow a bean plant in a ziploc bag with a wet paper towel and the observe, graph and write about the growth process. Have student figure out when flowers will bloom from various dates. On the back of seed packages it will tell how many days for germination and to bloom. Give student a date for planting the seeds and have them figure out on what day and date the flowers should bloom. These are just a few off the top of my head. Hope this is helpful.
