Same schools
By Patty

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi! My daughter is now 22 years old but from 2nd grade to the 6th we shared the same school. It was a good experience for us until she was in the 4th grade. All of the teachers were friends of mine so they thought nothing
about telling me things like when a test was coming up, who was acting up in class, etc. My daughter had nothing to share with me so she quit talking. I did not realize the reason for her lack of communication until she was in H.S. One day, she just blurted it out how she hated me knowing everthing that had happened or was going to happen (many times before she did). I think school
sharing can be a wonderful experience for both parent and child but I would caution anyone doing it (especially with older children) to let them have the same experiences as other kids and not to be overly involved (however well meaning as was the case with me). And if you do find out something, act like you do not know and let your child be the one to share it with you. Good luck
